New Porsche cell phone P'9521
Thats right, Porsche now launches a new luxury cell phone, the P'9521 made from a solid aluminium block and mineral glass that is scratch proof!
Since 1948 Porsche has been famous for its potent and luxury cars but in 1972 the car maker started to explore different luxury accessory markets such as eyeglasses, watches and ties. Now to compete with the iPhone (almost...) Porsche launches its new cell phone priced at $1,600.
The cell phone will be made by the French company Sagem (sixth largest cell phone maker) but the design is entirely Porsche's. Sagem is really trying to experiment, its performance has dropped 17.2% in comparison to last year from pressures of giants such as Nokia and Motorola.
The product will be launched first in England, in Dubai and probably in the US in the beginning of 2008.
The squared-shape design of the P'9521 was made to resemble the Porsche engine. The cell phone will have a swivel OLED display with colors that are more vivid and that consume less power. A few other high-end features include:
- a 3.2 megapixel camera;
- an mp3 player with three speakers;
- a normal sized USB port that can sync to Windows PC and Macs;
- camera with flash and auto-focus; and,
- finger print reader to identify the owner.
The contract with Sagem has a period of three years so you can wait and start saving, there will be more Porsche cell phones to come!

With bluetooth technology already available a person can turn on the engine of the car automatically from his/her cell phone. In the future this feature we hope this feature becomes more widespread between cars and cell phones so the car will automatically tell the driver when its running low on gas, its location from GPS signal, oil temperature and much more.
